what is the standard?

When someone says they are averaging 1:375 conversion ration does this mean the following:

RATIO between -

- main page hits and number of sign-ups
- preview page hits and number of sign-ups
- final join page hits and number of sign-ups

Ratios don't determine the best sponsors. Common misconception. The largest check with the smallest amount of traffic determines the best sponsor.

That's a good question Debbie... There are some sponsors who show this in their stats. I believe Pornkings is one. It's really interesting to see what percentage of your surfers go from the first page of the tour, to the second, etc to the join.

Sly is right though. It really depends on how much money you make at the end of the week with the same traffic type.

You also need to consider the shave factor. Shaved hits will make the conversions look alot better than they really are. Track your own hits and compare them to the stats your sponsor provides.

This months ratios for one of my sites:

TGP galleries posts to those that actually visit my first preview page - 1:28

Preview pages to final join page - 1:7.5

Join page hits to purchased membership - 1:34


So I could say the following:

TGP to member - 1:7,140
Prieview to member - 1:255

If I was now to quess on other sponsors it would be preview to member.

Are the above ratios crap??

First tier membership is $29.95 recurring.

I hate to bump my own post.

I rarely post, and I do not post for fun anymore, I too busy.

I really do need to know if the above ratios are good or bad so that I can keep working on specific areas to increase the ratio.

If the ratios are good I would rather leave them alone. I have changed each area about twenty time over the last three years and this is the best I have come up with so far.

Assuming the 7k you mentioned is gallery impressions, yes, I'd say you should be happy with your results.

Debbie those are great ratios. This is really large TGP'slike the hun and Worldsex? If that is true then it is not the straight TGP traffic that people talk about. Still awesome ratios and don't let anyone fool you otherwise.

more than likey they sent 375 hits and one of them hits happen to sign up and to feel like they're makin $$$$ they post something Like i'm doing 1:375 with that sponsor...when in fact they only sent 375 hits.....but i can be wrong:glugglug

I've only had one gallery on the hun posted and it was a long time ago.

Worldsex just happened last week.

I am now willing to pay for the spots but can not get an answer for either.

content payments are large though. 34 different providers for most of all the archives. Ouch. but worth it. over nine year to find some of them. some have no way to find.

debbieN - as a webmaster who pushes lots of different stuff my only concern would be CTR on a gallery. This is very niche stuff. So the overall $$ money made per 100k pageviews might be more in line with other programs. Do you get good clickthroughs?

in the above posts my CTR for my TGP post is 1:28

I have not included any large burst in activity. I only look and weekly vs past months.

One must remember that with a huge art and comic archive with over 400 to 700 new pics every two weeks I have a very loyal following.

Anyone can find a multitude of Photo - Artwork concerns in the site.

by having a site like this draws the people that see that same "photo porn" for ever and everywhere. This site gives them every fantasy they could want.

There is just too much and too many way to travel the archive that is sometime is a puzzle. People email me to say, "wow, did you know if you clicked on the period at the end of this sentence will take you to another unknow archive?

Has so many traffic leaks unless those bottom sites are also yours.
I am amazed you get listed with so many outgoing links.
Only reason I can see for listing you is the unique content.
Anything under 10,000 views to a sign up is ELITE.
