I'm still renting because a) I'm single and I don't plan on living in this town when I get married b) It's a furnished place so I can leave easily without much packing c) somebody else does all the landscaping, upgrades, upkeep, maintains the pool, etc. d) I have no bills to pay because my landlord does all that for me... water, electric, cable, trash pickup, etc. e) my landlord is a famous artist and they've designed everything here beautifully f) they have a large family and it makes me happy knowing I am helping them make money and g) real estate bores me, especially since I move so often. h) I could buy a home any time I wanted to, in cash.
