music

i'm burned out at music, i think i've heard it all, there's nothing new or old that moves me anymore, i'm open to all kinds of music, from rock,pop,metal,punk,grunge,ambient,rap/hip-hop,lounge/downtempo,trip-hop,classic,reggae,dance/trance/goa/house/hardhouse/happyhouse/harddisco,salsa,bossanova,crossover, you name it, MUSIC.

i can't find any inspiring music nowadays, the last time i found something decent was thievery corporation/nicola conte and i'm starting to lose my affinity for music these days.

so i'm hoping someone in the intelligent gfy crowd can save me and recommend a decent, hopefully inspiring head-opener album to listen to?

currently on my winamp playlist: bob sinclair - nature boy.

I'm working on a 80's themed project at the moment so I have been forced to go through just about every top ten single of the decade and thankfully some of them that were too good to get that high in the charts.

I've rediscovered my appreciation for New Wave big time.

Nickless 09-20-2003 07:40 PM

i forgot to mention i like almost all kind of music, as long as it's GOOD music.

btw, some random mainstream favorites are: red hot chili peppers - bloodsugarsexmagic, daft punk - homework, beastie boys - ill communication, stone temple pilots - core.

I'm on 1988 at the moment

NP:

Don`t Know What You Got (Till It`s Gone) by Cinderella

Previous track:

Fast Car Tracy Chapman

check out the soundtrack for the ps2/pc videogame gta: vice city, they've managed to put together a pretty decent 80's selection.

I just can't get enough (he he) of depeche mode and afterall people are people ;)

I did them straight away cause I love 'em. Listening to Personal Jesus as we speak. Not the 80's technically but wanted to hear it.

Best tracks I have listened to tonight:

Modern English: I melt with you - hits ALL the right buttons with me..if you catch my drift

Nick Kershaw: Wouldn't it be good - not a huge fan of his but love that song

strange television isn't my favorite song but its pretty good, i recommend wake up insane, barefoot in the dark, like the dead would laugh and high monster. its not for everyone, kinda slow gothic type rock stuff. amazing vocalist, formerly of acid bath fame.

Sarah_Jayne 09-20-2003 08:38 PM

um, I just accidently discovered a band called Electric Amish ..I was lookicing for another song with Electric in the title but being from PA originally I had to check it out.

Um, interesting
