do any dedicated hosting companies have plans like cell phones, where you're bandwidth can rollover if you don't use it all one month?

What I suggest is that you hook up with a company that will give you great overage rates. Then what you do is select a bandwidth plan closest to what you need or just under. If you use more bandwidth than needed for that particular month, you only have to pay for a low overage fee.

Adrenalinedef, I don't think you will find a host willing to do that. Your best choice would be to go for a host that will upgrade your bandwidth/transfer when it's required. We can do that, you can upgrade in steps of 1mbit, if interested hit me up with what you are looking for, I'll give you a great deal.

The only way this will work is if the host can get the same deal from their bandwidth provider and frankly that is not likely to happen.

It's like comparing apples to oranges the cell phone company won't inur actual costs in offering this benefit. They will only incur realized costs. The host will incur actual costs. Thus it is a losing proposition for the host.

As stated by others the best scenario is a host with easily upgradeable plans. Choose the plan closest to your needs and upgrade when your expec ted bandwidth for the month exceeds your plan allotment.
