Why is it that half the people in this biz entirely miss the concept of having to invest money and time to make more money?
Without risk, there probably won't be any rewards worth mentioning. A quick scheme won't make you rich. Deal with it.

Because dontcha know, porn is supposed to be the no investment get-rich-quick scheme. Let them think that, then they fail in business and it's less of the pie for everyone else to share.

But they waste your time. Just spent an hour talking to some guy who wanted a very extensive custom script. Then, when I gave him a quote on what it would cost, he said: "Oh, actually I was hoping you could do it for some gallery spots on my tgp or something" :BangBang:

Next time, give them an approximate price to begin with. Then later you can negotiate the real price. Might save some time.

It took him an hour to explain what he wanted. I even started with telling him my hourly rate, so he should have known.

I'v run into a few people like that, one guy was so cheap he couldn't pay $35 for a tgp script. He wanted everything for free. Cheap bastards. I hope he went back to flipping burgers at Mcdonalds.

Yeah, those people are fun. Especially if they want 10 hours worth of modifications free with a $25 script.

Part of it is the interenet. Everything was free for years and it is hard to give that up.

Just be up front with people. When Im looking for work to be done, I will spend the first five minutes asking basic questions. Such as cost, support, installation, mods...etc and from that I can either continue the conversation or just say thanks for your time.
