I agree with BlackCrayon I'd grab the hard drive and leave the door open. The ferrets and my dog are smart enough to know that fire is bad. They've all tested out my cigs when I'm chillin on the couch. So they know fire sucks!

One of my cats has Down's Syndrome (yes, cats can have that too) and isn't smart enough to give a damn about being held upside down, much less smart enough to know to get out of a burning house, and my doggies are kenneled at night, so they wouldn't be able to get out until I opened the kennel door.

If the kid and pets were out, I'd grab my Rolodex - I have every phone number, address, credit card number, URL, password and username in there for both personal and business. I've had it for 8+ years and would be lost w/o out it, lol! :winkwink:

I have been in a house fire when I was a kid, you'd be surpised how much stuff carry when it comes down to it.

Well I have 7 cats and they will run out of the house, if I just sneeze. So I'm pretty confident they'd be out way before me. As long as they are safe.... it would be hard to decide which of my many PCs to take, so I'd let them burn and let insurance replace them. Eh who am I kidding? I'd be running in and out trying to save every keyboard I could :)
