I cant stand peoples Stuck up attitude in this state. everyone thinks they are better then the next.... its just ugly

I left LA in '94. You'll like the east coast vibe much better. In LA friends come and go, people are so competitive and flaky. Here you get the just right balance. I've made more friends here then anywhere else I've lived, besides where I grew up.

I did exactly what you did...BUT, I lived in Miami for about 5 years before moving to L.A. for 3. Just came back to Miami in July. Sick of it already...will move again when my lease is up, if not sooner.

However, if this is your first time here, you'll dig it...is a cool town if you know where to go and if you have the bank to live in a nice place on South Beach or Coconut Grove.

but $3k/month for rent is kinda expensive...

ive been to South Beach a few times for vacation.... everything seems like LA.... i just cant stand the humidity

I live right in the heart of South Beach and I love it and hate it at the same time. If you are looking to move AWAY from arrogance and pompous assholes, South Beach definitely isn't the place to be. But the weather is great, there's tons to do here, lots of cool things closeby, and lots of great food. The rent is rediculous here and buying a house is next to impossible unless you're a millionaire. But hey, you only live once, right? Might as well live it up! :)

I used to live in Miami..... I am much happier in Ft. Lauderdale. If I get the urge to do the South Beach Scene, it's only a 35 minute drive.:2 cents:

I been living and producing in South Beach for 3 1/2 years now. Lived in NYC for 13 years before that. Greenwich Village to be precise. And despite all idiot claims to both places (by people who've probably never been there) you certainly do NOT have to be gay. Quite the contrary. If I were gay I'd be sticking my cock up guy's asses on my site instead of girls.

My take is that SoBe is one of the most pretentious places in the world. I played the scene well for a long time, but lay pretty low these days. If you've got the Bling, this is THE place. If you don't, it will make you sick watching others with it! So DON'T be fooled.
