It is a tale of U-turns, video poker and a zillion candle power light beaming into space from the top of an obsidian pyramid.

Thanks, shermsshack. When my girlfriend came out for the job interview, it was over 115 degrees. It was about 103 when we flew out to look for apartments and 101 on the afternoon we arrived to take posession of our apartment. I guess it's cooling down :)

Yeah, I don't have any people. either :) I'm always interested in doing lunch, though, because my days out here are going to be empty until I meet some people. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the heat. Even in the dead of Cleveland winters, I usually didn't wear a jacket. It was not at all unusual for me to go around in 10-12 degree weather in short sleeves. Blaze can back me up on that if he wanders into this thread.

I am originally from Florida, though, so I should be able to adapt :)

Now, getting used to the rest of Vegas life is another matter entirely.

Yeah, that's not far off. My girlfriend takes 215 every day to get to work. I've been up and down Eastern a couple of times. Did you get a house or an apartment?
