Saw this happen twice at the market yesterday. In the fruit area when people are picking what fruit to take, inevitably one fruit they were about to take rolls off and on the floor. They quickly turn their head to see if anyone is looking, pick the fruit up off the dirty floor and put it back on the pile for someone else to unknowingly take instead. Then they pick another, not realizing of course that odds are that fruit had probably rolled at one time too and someone had done the same exact thing with theirs.

I wonder if anyone has ever put the one they dropped onto the floor into their basket?

i take sample bites and if displeased put it back and spit my mouthfull into the middle of the pile

Soap and water. And fuck the dirty floor, why not worry more about the pesticides ?

Yea I see shit like that befor, I thro it away my self. Who know when they sweeped/moped the floor last.

The worst I ever saw, this old man did a huge series of sneezes all over the fruit he was picking through.

I've also seen workers in that section spill a whole bunch that rolled and they scoop them up and stick them right back up there.

Supermarkets are really gross when you start to think about it.

What's really dangerous though is when people return stuff or decide not to buy something that was in the frozen section or the refrigerated section and it sits on an isle or in the returns basket til it eventually gets put back on the shelf.
