Lets send out our best wishes to those in the path of Isabel

They're handing out manditory evacuation orders, and people like Tom are being told their house will be under water. He is directly in the storm path, and may not have a house left when it's all done (or so the national guard is indicating), but let's send out our best wishes anyways. Tom, and anyone else in the path of the storm, please stay safe, and best of luck to you! Here is to hoping you and your children will weather everything safely, and there won't be any problems other than lots of wind and some pesky water!

Blessed be.

in times of high water and fast wind, grab your surfboard and a towl and windsurf it! But yes, my regards and thaughts are with you all!

Be safe.

Damn man, Tom just can't catch a break.

What is the storm's estimated arrival date/time?

Within the next few days... week... ?

Well it's booked on American...booking agent told it to arrive 2 hours before take off....then apparently it was carrying some tweezers so that added another 30 minutes to the inspection...with a good tail wind I'd say by Friday.

Apparently they are already feeling the affects, it could be anytime. Tom did mention on the news at his place they said the storm was re-strengthening, which was expected..More news here:

I believe it is supposed to arrive Thursday morning.

Good luck to everyone, and be safe!

Good luck everyone in the war path of that damned thing!

Good luck, but you got to realize this is the price we who live on the edge of the east coast pay for those days when the ocean is so calm and beautiful to be near and see.

This Isabel is a monster. Look at the size of it now.

Hurricane party up here in Philly area for all!!!

Hope all my friends down south are safe and please get to higher ground to wait this out.

Sarah_Jayne 09-17-2003 09:31 AM

my parents live in the middle of the woods out of philly..trees come down even in mildly strong winds. Haven't been able to reach them on the phones for the past two days. I'm hoping that means they are just being smart enough to go somewhere else.
