How far are you from where you wanted to be when you grew up?

I never tried to do it professionaly but I did do stand up comedy for about a year.

And now I sling smut and my mama was still proud of me :glugglug

When my mom asked what I wanted to be when I grew up when I was 5, I had 2 options.

1) Ruler of the world
2) Donald duck (do nothing)

i never really wanted to be anything growing up (in terms of a job), except a skateboarder, and then later on, a snowboarder. pretty much still feel that way, except i now dig the life long student position as well...

I wanted to be a cook, believe it or not. I took four years of cooking classes in high school, and went into the Marines to be a cook. Then I wanted to attend a cooking college in San Fran.

Been in a lot of bands.. some good, some not so good... Moved to LA to follow my dreams, along with every other 18 year old... Then life just pulled me in another direction.. and now here I am.

Always just wanted to work for myself and be self supporting to enjoy life on my time, not others in a shitty 9 to 5 that has no end in sight.

Now I know that this is a 24 hour / 365 day a year game to keep up with, but, the rewards of being on your own are worth it in the end. :) :)

I worked hard since I was like 10 to learn what I needed to learn though, started by building 386-486 computers for people.
