It helps.but you can't rely on anyone but yourself to make it work.

It's how many posts you have... try and keep up ok.

Seems like here (Ya, shouldn't equate this place to the whole industry)...you could be great, and do everything right.....but if you aren't in the right clique, you will have a hard time succeeding.

I see so many posts with people defending this person, someone else defending this person...and so on. If you are big enough in the industry, and everyone kisses your ass, seems like you can get away with murder. Same seems to goes if you get in good enough with a big enough name.

Sorry...that is why I am a nobody in the industry.

It's a learning process. You will get it just keep posting.

Don't worry bro, there are always gonna be a few of us who are lower on the food chain than you (but DAMN if we're not doin' what it takes to get ahead)... :winkwink:

Maybe... but if you put out a good product and are honest in your business dealings... your rep will be better than dropping a name or two... but it does help sometimes.

I know quite a number of stupid people that have scored jobs as "marketers" (hahaha) in this industry... yet don't know how to use an FTP client, couldn't tell you what a "recip link" is, and couldn't string together a decent TEXT LINK if they were given all week.
