Places to live in FLA
 

Yo i am doing startng to do some research on FLA,

ANybody recommend any good town preferably close to clubs and shit and some cheap warehouse space?

gettin my pad ready for some little slits tonight and reading email, just thought I'd stick my sexy nose in this thread.

TeenGodFather - South Florida is definitely the place to be. You've got Miami, West Palm and Fort Lauderdale all within about 1 hour of eachother. Housing can be pricey if you life close to the beach. We managed to buy a 3/2 with a pool 1 mile from the beach for 170k. If you're renting, expect to find a decent place for $1400-$1700/mo. fort lauderdale is a bit cheesy but the ocean is really nice... down town area is las olas with all the clubs... if go to down town miami they have some warehouses but not a really safe area... boca raton is really nice and clean... i recommend living as close to the ocean as possible... :2 cents:

Tampa is the only place in Florida to go, houses are cheap (mine is 2 minutes from the beach, 2500 sq ft with pool bought it 4 years ago for $114k), porperty taxes are next to nothing ($1300 last year), and there are a TON of hotties...

Do a search for Metro West and see what you turn up. That's probably right up your alley.

Coral Gables...in the Miami neck of the woods...

I live on the other coast from Tampa, the Melbourne area... and well it's sucks :1orglaugh lot's of rednecks, however pre 9-11 I was up in Cocoa Beach and it wasn't too bad... I liked it a lot more... but rent and houses are fairly cheap..but going up fast... there are tons of warehouses around.. I have an 800 sq ft warehouse not anything really nice...but still in a decent location and I only pay $300 a month..

imho Boca Raton is the nicest. Right between West Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale. Lots of hot chicks, clean, sophisticated, laid back.

yea i've heard southbeach is the place to be in florida. i'm up in north west florida, still cool up here though too :thumbsup

A bunch of clubs are moving out of Miami for a number or reasons. It all started even before the recent Ultra fiasco but now even more clubs have realized it's time to move. Most of them are considering Ft. Lauderdale area. South Beach it turning hip hop like mad. So many awesome places (Shadow Lounge, Spin, Mercury) have shut down it makes me sad.

Boca is definetly a nice place but a little stuck up and has a shitload of weird laws that make it a little difficult to have agressive fun while avoiding trouble. It is very peaceful and extremely clean.

So you'll feel at home :) look into Boca or 30 miles south or north of there. Tons of New Yorkers are here.

I've been over to the west side of Florida and its too quiet compared to the more cosmopolitan energy on the south east side. All the big money people are in Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties.

Juicy Tampa is the spot if you are looking to grow your juicy empire for all too many reasons. Hit me up if you need some info be glad to point you in the right direction.

Fort Lauderdale might be cheesy, but Boca is pretentious. Don't let it rain there, ya might drown. I'd rather be cheesy than snobby.

Overall, South Florida sucks...except for those who like rude, obnoxious people (and don't expect them to speak English in Miami, and moving north), a high cost of living, low salaries, not to mention FAKE people who will be your friend to your face and stab you in the back the minute you're not right in front of them.

Other than those things, Florida is great.

In what city? Or should I ask what year? Or should I ask if it's a house still standing and liveable?

No one finds a house that size, with a pool, that close to the beach in the year 2003 and have it be in a NICE area and fit for living in...and most definitely that is not found in Fort Lauderdale or south. MAYBE West Palm, but not likely unless you're living WEST.
