Anyone interested in PUBLIC ACCESS INTERNET TERMINALS?

Great investment opportunity, our terminals provide high speed internet access, email, and audio/video email to the public for .25 per minute. They also offer photo greetings, pre-paid calling cards, and printable coupons for local businesses, and the ability to make internet phone calls anywhere in the world for only .25 per minute. icq #306234382

This is a great offline investment. I see these terminals packed at malls, people checking their email or whatever. I'd invest in them :thumbsup

I was going to buy a couple around last Christmas but I couldn't find much information on them.

I saw this on TV! Hmmm....

JD 09-16-2003 09:59 AM

how much is it for one of these terminals?

Dusen 09-16-2003 10:00 AM

What is cost per terminal?

I can think a few spots this would do really well.

I smell MLM scheme. probably pay 1/3 going directly to manufacturer.

bushwacker 09-16-2003 10:03 AM

The ones I saw on TV were a flat fee. I think around $2k a piece, but not real sure. Of course you would need high traffic space, which you would need to rent or offer up a percentage. I would think it's a good business if you had volume, maybe 15-20 terminals. But only a couple terminals would seem like a pain in the ass...

Dusen 09-16-2003 10:08 AM

They would be wicked, could simply run it from one broadband connection, and dial from the kiosks into the network.

So total cost for first month would be initial layout, rent, 2xphone line per kiosk, damage.

Hard to say how they would do though. You WOULD need a few of them, it would balance out if one or two went dry one month.

Great idea.

the other thing is that you can in theory probably program these things to allow free access to certain sites of your choosing. I mean, load up the favorites with affiliate codes to popular websites like amazon.com, apply for credit cards, etc.

Bare minimum, you would be able to set the home page.

If this stuff was so profitable then why wouldnt you just hire people and do it yourself? Sounds to me like another version of vending machines.

I wonder how they would do at college bars and clubs

freeadultcontent 09-16-2003 06:22 PM

Those prices are astronomical guy, cmon. 5k or so is cool, but HOLY SHIT and you stock it with a virtual mall where we only get 40%. All the other internet kiosks dont screw with ya like that.

I have some rental space in a mall, an airport, and a few other locations and was already looking at these. Yet holy shit :eek2 your high priced.

BTW whomever said it sounds like vending or whatever. If you got location even vending works.

Whoever said if it was so profitable why let others in on it. Do you think American Carts runs every hot dog cart they build in the US or even NY alone? Those are only a few k, and can make a few hundred or more per day.

steffie 09-16-2003 06:23 PM

hey i see those ads on tv all the time

We had a cyber - internet cafe a couple of years ago and had a couple of those mashines in there (besides the regular pc's). They were great.

The tech is better now, you can hook up your laptop and stuff now. much better.

They are much cheaper now too ;-))
