I found out that galleries with a 16 pics and a few catchy lines in verdana get way more clicks than all those fancy designs.

yeah, so that's why I was hired by almost any big program in this biz... because they don't know shit :winkwink: anyway, simple or loaded, we make every type and we make'em kick ass! :thumbsup (and now between 150 and 300% less than competition :winkwink: )

Because big programs want to have good looking galleries cuz 90% of the webmasters think good looking galleries are the way to go.

A gallery with a few simple text lines might look amateurish and thats the last thing big programs want.

But once again, going for conversions and pulling traffic then super nice, graphic heavy galleries are not the way to go.

All the best converting galleries I ever used had hot text AND hot graphics. :2 cents:

As a tgp owner I like to run both good looking and crappy looking galleries but I dont think my surfers care. They want great pics and no popups/dialers/redirects.

Now the mistery is solved, big programs don't want to sell, they're in this business to make people happy :Graucho

If I need galleries, I know I won't go with any other than him, I did it a couple weeks ago and got 2 lousy bad designed gallys that didn't make a single sale :feels-hot

Maybe for my future program i will buy some designs from him as well, im just gonna make sure i'll offer text galleries as well to my affiliates.

So the big sponsors like to keep webmasters happy by giving them cute desings instead of better conversions? Weird...

Im saying that alot of webmasters looking for sponsors with hosted galleries tend to pick the ones with the best looking galleries and not thinking about conversions and traffic they might pull.

The best suggestion is to test different gallery designers and find which works best for your program, and stick with it. If you launch a new program, do it all over again.

Every site is going to appeal to someone different, and in being so, no one type or style of design is going to do the "best" or sell the "most", because there are many contributing factors. The product, the sales pitch, the design, the content, the surfer etc...

So, all of you are correct to some degree. But, without a fair market study on your particular niche, you can never have an accurate control point to judge how well one "way" does better than another.

They may pick the good looking ones, but will the keep them if they dont convert as well as the ugly ones? Only if you're talking about newbs who send a sale every week and dont have enough volume to see what's best.
