Coming up this weekend! It's a blast if you've never been to one before.

went to the one three years ago... almost got inked there for my first time. i was dissapointed there were only two artists there that were of supreme high caliber, maybe i'm just picky. would love to go again but you gotta get there early to get any huge pieces done and normally they tell you to come back the next day... another 30 bucks. :(

Hey Steve... you HAVE to be picky... your ink is for the rest of your life! I would actually suggest that you don't get inked for the first time at a show, unless the artist is world reknown... someone like Greg James. You can get a lot of good ideas at the shows, but you really have to be careful that you dont' get some scratcher doing a rush job on you. I go to these shows mostly to see all the work (good AND bad)... meet a lot of cool people, watch the competitions and judging, and for all the merchandise.

dude, i for sure will not get inked at one of the shows after what i went through. i went and on the second day i decided to get a band of incan symbols on my forearm... it was a nightmare, the guy drew out the five symbols i picked and drew the wrong ones...he went back & did it again only to fuck up a second time. after the third trace he put it on and the tracing got distorted. once it was all ready to go after another retrace this huge lamp right behind him came crashing down to the ground with a loud BOOM! i immediately stood up and told him i didn't want to get the tattoo, he was like "yeah...that was like an omen" and he gave my cash back.
