Wireless router, are you using it? I'm thinking of buying a 3com

Do you have a wireless router? If so what brand, and are you happy with it?

I'm thinking of taking

http://www.3com.com/products/en_US/d...=3CRW E554G72

I just hope it will work well through my doors...

The router will be placed at the last door at the left

And my pc is located

at the right of this table(at the left you see the doors again)

You think it will work?(with closed doors of course:))

Yes. It doesn't have to go through the doors. It can go through the walls.

Hi Andre,

I've got an edimax wireless broadband router set up downstairs in my apartment. IT works fine throughout the place, and the block, as I am offerring Internet connection to the two apartments above me as well.

Its about a year old now, but works fine.

Hope it helps

linksys. Works like a champ throughout the house.

Thanks, I think I will go for the linksys 54G, because I called 3com, and guess what?

They have a 54MBPS wireless router, but they don't have 54MBPS wireless PCI cards, only notebook cards...

So then I have to buy 3com router and 54MBPS linksys cards...So I think linksys--->linksys is better, and since you all adviced that to me, who am I :-)

Thnx all

Andre

You can't go wrong with Linksys at the moment. I haven't tried a ton of them but the only one I have seen any trouble with is the D-Link cheapies (11mbps). Had a couple of clients using those and they had to unplug them and plug them back in every morning. Linksys on the other hand I haven't had one minute of trouble with.

Looks like no one loves 3com more then linksys :-)

I have had AirPort for years now. It's Apple's implementation of the 802.11b (and now g) standard. I love it.
