Just a simple announcement that I bought an email list from this bloke, and of course I didnt get it

It seems that the latest trend in selling email lists are:

1) get the $$, then dont give a list

2) get the $$, then give over a harvested list

3) get the $$, then hand over a list with inbuilt heat

Now that Visa and MAsterCard are stopping the consumer scams, it loks like webmasters are now scamming each other

Maybe that is why is looking into buying a paysite now, to spam for :)

i cant belive you bought that list.. you should have used your head on that 1.. im sure you thought to yourself before you sent the money.. i wonder if this guy is going to scam me.. to bad your innerself didnt jump and and scream at the top of his fake lungs YES!! DONT DO IT!! YOU ARE ACTING LIKE A MORON!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

on a positive note, hopefully this will help other people make the right choice when dealing with someone like that

In the ICQ's, he said he was from the UK, so it just didnt occur to me who he was

As it was a smallish buy, I dint panic too much

this scamming has been going on for a long time. Buying lists from icq and message boards is a huge risk. Why, Because any fag can do it, harvest a list then sell it for whatever they like.
You should have checked up on this guy did your research. However, in todays environment thats not going to help much anyways. I only buy from message boards if im prepared to take the risk and walk away with out it affecting me.

It's coming to the point where i will not buy unless the buyer is in my city and i can get to him to break some kneecaps ;)
