De La Hoya was Screwed!
Purely outboxed Mosley. Mosley Jr. and Mosley Sr. even knew this. Did you see the fucking look on their face? Oscar dominated him.
|
I hate Oscar, but gave him an 8-4 decision. Only in Las Vegas
|
what a shame

FiXED!:feels-hot

Dam, doesnt any one get it Mosley did what he does best and that was "power boxing" Which scores a higher volume of punches and more movement. Who cares if dela out boxed him, it was the power punches that counts...
De La Hoya traded punches with Mosley to close the show. Oscar dominated in the statistical department, outlanding Shane 221 to 127 overall, 115 to 94 in the power department and 106-33 in jabs, but Sugar Shane came on late to sweep the last five rounds on all three official cards, winning 115-113 on each. That's the wire story on the fight. What I didn't know was that this is the THIRD time Mosley beat De La Hoya. Once as when both were amateurs and now twice as pros. Third time's the charm I guess. Pro boxing is so superior a sport that it's tough for armchair enthusiasts to see the real deal. The judges are trained to know the difference from 'blow' from 'show'. Throwin' flurries is just that. Landing punches with strategy is just that. To have made it to the pros both men deserve mucho respect. There've been some angry folks out on the streets of LA. Cops had to make a presence. |
Reminds me of the decision in Lewis vs Holyfield I.
Dela Hoya was robbed but alot of people made a grip of money. |

This fight was very close but we were not their and got all the angles HBO ppv gave us... ring side may have been different. From what i saw De La Hoya should have won BUT he also lagged at the end like he always does.... the judges saw blood and his lack of determination for a win at the end. |
I knew I should have put down a couple hundred on the long shot! Oh well!
|
I'd pay for streaming of that . . . oh wait, you mean the judges' call was unfair. I was hoping for an Oscar sex vid.
|
It was a close fight.
Here are the things that went wrong for Oscar, that the Judges probably saw. Blood, sure it was from a headbutt. Looked Very tired at the end. Oscar, sure it was his game plan, but always was backing up. When Oscar got hit with a Power punch, the look on his face was OMG. If the fight would of went 15, I am sure Oscar would of definately lost if not been knocked out... I wanted Oscar to win, so my views are just that, my views... |
Dang! So La Hoya got $17mil for losing against a guy he'd already lost to, and Mosley, who's had more knockouts, got $5mil.....am I missing something? :eek7
|
"If". There is no Ifs. This is a 12 round boxing match. You can't take a perspective on a few more rounds to decide the outcome of a fight. It is even more ridiculous now that the press is thinking of ways to cover up another boxing mishap.
Oh well. Oscar is a warrior, hopefully he returns. |
i say de la hoya won that fuckin fight hands down....
|
Common people, it was a unanimous decision. Decided by professionals who know what they are talking about!
Sure De La Hoya looked good, but he was clearly not putting any power in his throws! If he would have boxed like this AND put some effort in his punches, he would have been exhausted after 5 rounds. Mosley was consistant, and gave all he had, and did a better job in the end! |

I wanted Oscar to win and he did out box him the entire way, and remember this is a sport called boxing, not power punching, so when you out box you win. As for more rounds, his strategy was for 12 since that was their fight, if there were 15 rounds he would approach them differently so thats all moronic speculation and nothing more than attempt to rationalize what is otherwise robbing someone of a win. Mosley was horrible against the jab in the beginning and couldn't do shit, by the end he was doing a bit better but Oscar was trading blows all the way through. As for that look on his face, his usual look when fighting is pretty stupid so its not a big deal, plus he never fell, and what does it say about Mosley that he wasnt able to land any successive combinations until the very last few rounds, he simply couldnt close the deal. He should have last, plain and simple. |
Fucking rigged :BangBang:

The ultimate goal is to knock the opponent out, that's why power punches get more points!! |
