I was wondering if there was a way to transfer files from laptop to desktop via USB cable? Ever heard of anything like that?

Sell everything from your laptop to SoBEGIRL, then he will give it away for free for you to download.:ak47:

If you don't have nics in both machines, you could transfer the files by null modem. Its slow has heck though.
