Lame. Even socialists should be able to come up with better satire.

eatapeach 09-13-2003 11:18 AM

this isn't a commentary on "bush is hitler", more about how the state functions.

parades and speeches in front of the military, giant flags behind the leader, that kind of stuff.

both of the bush images were from news stories today on yahoo and they were reminiscent of images i remembered from reading the history of nazi germany.

rossiya2 09-13-2003 11:24 AM

That's all we get to see because protesting in sight of Bush is now a crime.

The following is a profile of a "domestic terrorist" circulated by the Phoenix, Arizona FBI Joint Terrorist Task Force to local law enforcement officials.
It read in part: "If you encounter any of the following, call the Joint Terrorism Task Force?.

Someone who defends the US Constitution against the federal
government and the United Nations.

Someone who asks the law enforcement officer to cite his authority for making a stop.

Someone who makes numerous references to the U.S. Constitution.

Someone who says that driving is a "right," and not a "privilege."

Someone who attempts to "police the police..."

Probably the other country good at doing this is the North Koreans :)

Strange, the first two of those I believe to be part of every American's right to question the government when they try to take away rights for 'the good of the people'.

The second two tend to apply to people who are assholes and want to take the implications of our founding fathers' document too far.

How did these four statements come to be considered 'related' to each other?

I agree, lets' let those soldiers be. They deserve as many salutes as they can get.

This thread should be linked to the other thread asking "Why are people stupid." Bush gives friendly waves to his troops and because of that, he's hitler now. 2+2=6
