Was it said so in the contest rules? I think the contest regarded the 2 millionth post on GFY. Nowhere was it specified that it regarded only the "Fucking Around & Program Discussion" forum. So stop whining and step on it. :)

I believe the last contest was about the 1 millionth post on GFY. This one is about the 2 millionth. I don't think the last one was restricted to any specific forum, why should this one be?

Anyway, those rules were about the old contest. The current one does not mention that the post must be made in the main forum.

Yeah, I noticed... I never read through that official contest thread after the initial rules post was made... Too bad Lens didn't clear it up in that one, my guess was kind of short, since I guessed today. Which would've been accurate, if the 2 millionth had regarded the entire board...

well, if you had paid attention to the previous contests, you would have known without having to have it spelled out. Besides, why would he give until Sunday to get guesses in if it was obvious it would happen today?

I did pay attention to previous contests. Rules are rules, that one wasn't included in the initial rules, it was a later addition. Plus, the deadline of the guessing has nothing to do with when the actual post would be made, we've all seen how fast posts have been accumulating since the contest was announced.
