Canadian Customs Question
 

for the first time after sending a fair number of content packages to Canadian customers via Fedex from the U.S. a package was grabbed by Canadian Customs.

So what's the scoop, what happens next, what will they do with it and how long does it usually take to get it released? Erotica/pornography ain't illegal and this is all pretty tame solo girl stuff with original model releases so i can't see anybody looking at it and passing it on to the Mounties as possible obscene materials.

Generally just mark it as "press material" and they leave it alone..we never had problems getting slides or anything across the border...

Typically takes a week or two when customs decides to open things. Never had them open content though. When I have had them open things, normially ends up in me having to pay them for the privledge of opening it. :321GFY

might be better sending by mail rather than Fedex, once read on one of the brokers' sites that packages sent by courier companies get grabbed more often.

if you lie and put something like 'Press Materials' doesn't that open you up to some potential problems? You are misrepresenting what the contents of the package are.

they can keep the CDs, uploaded the content by FTP yesterday, took all day tho.

I had this issue in the past I made a post about it too, it took about 7 days and I got it and hat was hardcore / spanking from serbia.

Its a process alot of packages go thru these days you got nothing to worry about, its just a time pain.

Photos are press material :) Believe me it's not a problem, I generally get shipments of thousands of slides at a time.. big packages.. they never check.

in our experiance fedex packages are alot easier to get through customs then reg. mail delivery.

When the planes come in with all the diff. packages I guess customs has already checked the logs / manifest and decided what pkg's they are going to check.

Apparently customs agrees with me, they've never once delayed any of my parcels.. I get them monthly at the very least.

Should have done that in the first place, It just makes things less complicated. In the past before FTP , we had them shipped as electronic documents.Much prefer the transfer, no mess no fuss:2 cents:

That's strange.. I've never had them hold anything for more than a day, max. What was the description on it?

I once had Fedex themselves rip open a package I was sending.
It was balloon videos of all things. They refused to ship it.
Apparently somewhere in their fine print, they claim the right to inspect if they choose to.

when we got back from rom Florida customs stopped us and asked us what we did ...he he he well Canada customs took Stick into the room and looked at the pics and tapes needles to say they came out with a smile on there face there was like five guys smiling ...everybody loves porn :winkwink:

I will tell you 2 instances I had:
I crossed the border with a couple girls I shot in NY. I was taking them to Montreal . When I got to the border , i was randomly searched. They took EVERYTHING out of my car. They brought me into the office where they had my camera and tapes. They said it exactly like this:
" we can avoid all the red tape if you tell us and show us what is on these tapes"
So I told them it was me fucking the 2 girls and I showed them. They then randomly searched thru the tapes. They said they were checking for child porn and for murder videos. They then proceeded to let me go.

Another time I shipped to Canada, they confiscated the package as there was a misprint or something on the paperwork. It was delayed a while but made it there...

SO they may just be checking out contents
