CCBill/Visa Question

It's been 14 business days since I paid the visa fee - but CCBill still hasn't received approval. There is no reason that I would not be accepted (my content is 100% legal, chargebacks are almost non-existent and I have never had a merchant account with Visa or any other credit card)

Has anyone else experienced an unusually long wait?

Honeyslut 09-12-2003 11:08 PM

I turned in my paperwork on 7/25 and I still have not heard if I was accepted.. I was told by my rep about 21 days since visa only had ONE person doing the apps..

I have delayed starting my affiliate program because of the time frame of visa accepting. I did start it up a few days ago but I have not pushed it too hard since I don't know my status..

Can you tell online if you were accepted ?

When I checked the admin. area of CCBill it does list Visa to be among payment methods which I can accept - but the status says "pending".

I maxed out one of my credit cards in order to pay the Visa fees - being that I've experienced financial difficulties since the Glo-Bill fiasco - and I did not expect it to take so long. I was told by CCBill that the normal wait time was now 10-14 business days and it has been 14 business days.

What I love the most is how they charge your CC right away and then sit on your money for a month. I had to charge a 750$ fee to accept visa....on my visa...

abadfish 09-13-2003 03:27 AM

BTW, while I was waiting CCBill just told me to check my join pages to see my status :)

amacontent 09-15-2003 02:54 PM

I paid my fee on Aug 20th and Im still waiting. Now Im told it can take up to 30 BUISNESS days. Im afraid when I get to that 30th buis day Ill be told it can take up to 40 buisness days.. Who knows.

roscoe 09-15-2003 03:07 PM

Just talked to a guy at ccbill...I paid my fees on the 2nd of September...when i was told 7-10 days.

NOW im told "oh its taking a bit longer.." could take up to 21 days now.

It seems that the truth is nobody knows dick about when they will come back and your just told anything at the time you want to do it.

Weird... I applied for 2 websites the day Globill ran off with my money, and CCBill did deliver in 5 or 6 business days as promised, for both sites.

i know all about it.

I was responsible for this process from the implementation of it until relatively recently. Remember, the approval of accounts is out of our hands. We submit them and wait to get a response. We are in the same position as you aware and want this to get approved as soon as possible. It is not a matter of snapping your fingers and you are approved, there are steps and a procedure. In what happened with a specific case, I don?t know, but I can certainly look into it.

Feel free to call me and I will be more than happy to explain the complete process and the controls and checks that we have put in place. Icq me for my direct line 45471840

If anybody feels that their application is delayed, contact your sales rep and we can check it out....or contact me

One of your sales reps is where i got my info. duhhh

What gets my goat is ccbill handing out the info 7-10 days then 7-10 days goes by then your told opps sorry no its more like 21 days...what answer will we get after 21 days?

It seems that there is no problem in taking the fee the first day.

If you were informed incorrectly, then please accept my very sincere apology for this. We do have a general idea of how long it takes, but when each of the steps have to be concluded by a real person, any sort of guarantee is very difficult to make.

As far as requiring the fee upfront, for various reasons, this is what we have decided is required before we begin to process a registration. If that is an issue, our clients are also given the option to not register for Visa, thus no prepayment.

I can understand and appreciate your concern about this. If you like, send me an email with your detail and I can get it looked at. Hopefully, your registration will come back accepted soon, and at least in your case, this will be a non-issue

Holy shit! Two months..?! That is a fucking outrage. What on earth is going on with Visa?

I'm a bit concerned that the larger billing companies have not addressed this issue in a more direct manner. There seems to be an exceedingly passive attitude on their part regarding this situation - which which is of significant importance to webmasters.
