for anyone that will be on Maui this weekend
 

The annual 'Taste of Lahaina' Festival is happening this weekend. There'll be the best food from all over the island.... top resorts like the Hyatt, Maui Marriot, Outrigger, etc.... as well as all the best restaurants. Plus a concert from some of the best Hawaiian bands, playing killer island reggae.... Three Plus, Natural Vibrations, and I think Ten Feet maybe.... probably a few others.


went to it last year, and it was much smaller. THis year will be huge.... but always an awesome time. Runs tonight and tomorrow.

not sure of the exact lineup... I know Three Plus will be there for sure though.

the food is awesome.... there's a judging and they get major bragging rights for the whole year, so they all bring their best and try to out do each other... last year I thought the Hyatt Kaanapali was the winner hands down. Best fucking food ever. Not sure who actually won though... probly was the Hyatt.

also a huge beer garden for the adults. (the best place to be of course, after you eat)

How about Mama's Fish House?

yep, they are always there too..... I didn't get anything from them last year though. The line was too long.

it's sort of like a big outdoor convention... all the resorts and restaurants have booths set up with their food. THey cook right there in the booth, and you gotta wait in line to get some. The beer garden is wide open though. Once you pass the ID station, you can get any kinda drink you want.
