PHP vs HTML in a Search Engine

Do PHP get punished PR and ranking wise because they are dynamic?

Just having a php file won't hurt you but really complex dynamic content that depends on a lot of crap after the ? might hurt you.

go find out what googleguy says on the topic and then come back and tell us...:)

It depends on the search engine, and the url itself of the dynamically generated page. Google doesnt have much of a problem with dynamic pages. I have achieved numerous top 10 rankings for clients who use php or asp.

Your other option is to rewrite apache to view the "?" in the url as a "/"
