Searching for a reliable server..
 

Hello GFY, I'm in a process of looking for a reliable server and I was wondering if you could help me out and give some suggestions. I'm currently looking into rackshack, although I have heard some unpleasant things, the packages they give are pretty nice. http://www.rackshack.net/english/xeon_series.asp

If it's not too hard, could you tell me which providers you're using and how they're doing.

http://www.isprime.com hands down for me anyways. Just call Denis or Icq him and forget about the posted costs on their website. Do a search here and find 1 bad comment or problem. You wont find either and alot of people rant here on hosts. ALOT

rackshack is not so bad btw. but isprime is really good hosting

Rack shack is good if you have the tech experience or staff available to manage the server.

If you just use FTP and want your html files to work, its better to go with a managed host, I'd recommend http://www.myrcn.com

I have all my adult sites (live and not live) there. JFPDude is a great guy and knows his shit. I have never been down and my sites are fast loading.

Even when they moved my sites to another server.. I was never down, least I did not notice it... and they made sure all my programing was functioning after the move.

Tease, Rackshack is for people who have lots of experience in server management. They're inexpensive and I've heard that their bandwidth is ok too, but if you don't have time and energy for server management (security, updates,..) I would recommend a managed server.
