Either find a solid shelter, and bolt down the hatches...or start throwing the big hurricane party.

ryph 09-11-2003 05:48 PM

Is the big storm in your sig a coincidence?

KMR Stitch 09-11-2003 05:50 PM

All I know is I am going surfing.. Call me nuts but thats is what I live for!

suesheboy 09-11-2003 05:52 PM

We are fearing the worst down here too.

I have family in Myrtle Beach as well :( We're hoping for the best.

I've been watching the Weather Channel as of late...

So far, it's too early to tell.

There's a high pressure system in the North Atlantic that can push this thing up north and away from the land...

But on the flip side, it could get caught in the tail of the system and push in further south...

That's the Weather Channel for ya...talking out of both sides of their ass...

We won't know anything until the next few days...

After my lease in Miami is up in August of 2004, I am getting the fuck out...I forgot why I moved from Miami 3 years ago, besides Elian Gonzales...

SleazyDream 09-11-2003 06:58 PM

nice knowing ya

It's times like this that I'm glad that I live way the fuck up in the Upper Michigan. Where I'm at there's no hurricanes, tornados or anything like that. The only thing that we get is lots and lots of snow. I guess that snow can't rip my house apart though, ha ha ha.

Good luck getting through that.

I'd rather live in the warm tropics and deal with this from time to time than freeze my ass off in the North...I did it for 21 years and will never deal with that gloomy, cold shit again...

The only time a baby arrives on the date a doctor picks is when the doctor decides he doesn't want to screw up his golf game and schedules induced labor or a cesarian.
The baby will come when and only when s/he is ready, provided you don't have a doctor that's more concerned with himself than the health of the baby.

Don't worry.
Besides, it's *very* easy to prepare for a possible homebirth in case of emergency, and women's bodies have been giving birth since the beginning of time so basically her body knows what it's doing and all you have to do is catch. :)
I'm being lighthearted about it but I'm serious. If you want to know what exactly you'll need to have in your emergency pack just in case, just hit me up on ICQ. It never hurts to be prepared.

You are right Carrie!

Hope you are ok Brandon!

Ketadream 09-11-2003 08:00 PM

Board up...

Get the fuck out of town...

Seriously its the best way to ride it out, my dad did it for andrew and I thought he was insane...but he explained it to me...

What could he do if the worst where to happen if shit started falling appart he would just me miserable and unsafe...

Property insurance would take care of things

So he left town and relax'd at a resort somewhere....

Meanwhile I freaked out cause I had no clue where he was and had come over after the storm to see if he needed any help with anything...LOL

I'm just pissed that he did not invite me

That's the website to track the storm. I was just about to post about this.

This country can endure another disaster. At category 5 that's fucking dangerous.

Let's all pray it goes out to sea and does not head into land.

Not sure how old you are but Hugo took a major swipe at us in 91. It was pretty ugly but not as bad as one would think for a storm that was still Cat5 when it was nearly 300 miles inland.

Good luck, go to the store now and get water and all that good stuff if you are staying, otherwise it will be gone due to the panic.
