Is there anyway to find out all domains owned by a person or company?

IS there a way to do this?

no,it's impossible

evildick 09-11-2003 02:52 PM

Only if they register all their domains through Network Solutions.

They have a search feature there you can use. But other than that, no.

There was a paid service I seen somewhere that was suppose to do this, but I don't think it was even live yet.

I have only seen it on the corporate level.

Much $$$.

How do you search through netsol though?

bump

calm 09-11-2003 03:21 PM

Anybody? I am very curious.

evildick 09-11-2003 05:28 PM

calm, I was under the impression you could do it at netsol, but I might be wrong.

Check this thread and see if you can figure it out:

Dont think so, but i guess a main registrar could tell you in theory

Netsol used to offer this feature but i am not certain if they currently do anymore.

Juicy, to answer your question to my knowledge there isnt anything like this available for everyone to use however a couple of companies do have their own script that will do this based on specific search criteria ;)

And how do you get them all?

Only NetSol used to have that feature and they discontinued it years ago.

That does not really work... cuz it gives you all the sites on one server.. if that person has a shared server or a few servers.. then u will never know all their sites..

The best you can do easily is get the root zone file and grep for their nameserver.

Last time I enquired, you can apply to get ftp access to download the root zone files from netsol. They dont have any restrictions on who they give access to. This is how alot of non-registrars search for expired domains.

This may or may not help.

that site ipdetective that was up before worked pretty close to doing that.
