Spending money hard?

For some odd reason I find it extremely hard to spend somewhat big amounts of money on luxury articles, even though I can easily afford it. Even when I want to buy something I really like that only costs a few hundred euros, it usually takes me several weeks or even months of hesitation before I can bring myself to buy it. Ofcourse, there's the upside of my bank account growing in a steady, high tempo, but it's somewhat annoying to have a nice income and not being able to use it.

Anyone else have this problem - you have the money, but can't bring yourself to spend it?

i have no problem spending money on my family, but for myself, it takes real effort...

I feel "guilty" spending money on myself.
Also, I get more satisfaction spending money on others and seeing them happy.

I don't have any problems spending 110% of my income.

That reminds me... where the fuck did i leave my other rolex?

Well that's the way to do it. Luxury expenses are, well... luxury expenses. You're better off wanting that thing for 2 months than just buying it right away, i'm sure there is more satisfaction into it. It's also the safe way to go. In this biz, your income ca drop by half in a matter of a day, so it's wise to be careful:thumbsup

Thats the same way I am.. I have to justify everything I purchase.. Now from time to time I will buy myself things that I may not be able to justify, but nothing usually too big.

Its good though, Some people spend all there money, or more then they have.. Its always good to save your money, you will never know what may happen.. Save it while your younger, then when you are older and retired.. enjoy it all :)

I have the exact same thing... I can spend it on friends or family without a second thought, spending it on business isn't a problem either, but spending it on myself is almost impossible.

Funny thing is that now that I don't have a gf anymore, my spendings have suddenly decreased greatly :)

I always ask myself "Do I really need this?"

The answer is almost always "no".

I don't buy much at all. I like to spend my money on weed, alcohol, food, books and travel.

Everything else is just shit that takes up space.

I changed after I had my son and left the LA lifestyle in 94. It was so good to be out of that "keep up with the jones" city. I can't stand wasting money now on ridiculous luxury things. Everything I buy has got to have solid value or it stays on the shelf.

:)

Good Philosophy.

I ask myself the same question, how much shit do I really need.

Eat, Drink, be happy, have a nice ride & enjoy life is the way to go.. it doesn't take an enourmous amount of money for that.

A few holidays each year is always good :)
