So, you want to start a paysite, kid...

This will probably get me a big GFM from the GFY crew here but I'm hoping for one or two good replies.

Consider this a how-to on starting a paysite...

So, I've got an idea for a paysite. One that is actually unique, not the same rehashed bangbus, bangSUV, bangATV idea.

Where would I find the models?

What, besides a model release form would I need in terms of paperwork?

What digital video camera would you recommend?

Basically, I just need advice..so, anything you think would be helpful would be appreciated. And for those that will definitely flame me for this post, I give you a hearty :321GFY

bah, double postin...

Really though, why not post a request on adultstaffing.com for models in your area? My :2 cents: .

I would suggest first to learn about biz, marketing etc before starting a paysite.

Head over to YNOT, xbiz and any other resource you can find. There is MORE than enough info on YNOT alone to get you headed ion the right direction.

Contacting some of the content providers is usually a good starting point, of course, if they do not have models suitable for the content you require shoots for you could try some of the talent boards or ask the content providers directly who they get their models from. Mike over at Clutch Content is a good starting point for this :)

Best advice i can give you is plan it out, plan it out again then, plan it out some more lol

Oh and make sure you have a nice design the guys at http://www.bluedesignstudios.com and http://www.xxxdesign.co.uk do good work so as a starting point if the site needs a professional look i would speak to them.

Most designers (these two do) will talk with you to find out what it is exactly you want from the design in both look and, more importantly, feel of the site. This is a great help to you because they will often think of things that you would have otherwise neglected.

Make sure you have a solid marketing plan in place also, this might be something as simple as getting a professional press release written http://www.detour-diva.com comes highly recomended for this to purchasing advertising on the various resources, drop [email protected] an email about advertising again, she comes highly recommended and has already sorted out some sweet ad space deals for us.

The next thing, once you have all the design and planning underway is to make sure you can actually retain your surfers and, more importantly, your affiliates surfers, obviously if you are going to be using a per sign up or recurring program will affect how you handle this but, as a general rule of thumb, having an easy to navigate members area and a lot of good quality feeds and other points of interest in the site would be a good start to acheiving this.

One thing that you do need to take special consideration over is who you will use as your payment processor and, more importantly, whether you will have a single processor or, multiple processors, for processors, http://www.epoch.com (who Stud Money processes with), http://www.ibill.com, http://www.ibill.com, http://www.netbilling.com and, http://www.pswbilling.com all come highly recommended as processors but obviously, you will need to speak to the processors on a one on one basis to see which one works best for your needs.

Then of course, you have the legal side of things to take care of, a good lawyer and accountant are a must IMHO to the success of running your business, of course, you can run it without either of these people but, if the shit hits the fan its nice to have someone there to count on who actually knows what they are talking about.

Hope this helps you out a little.

here is how i did it...

I took out an ad... found a girl or two I wanted to work with, made them an offer and they agreed...

I have a shitty digital so I shot my 1st set with a 35mm... too much work... I got a better digital... Nikon CoolPix 4500... Excellent camera and great for web work... 4mp..

Still working on a good camcorder.. I am currently using an older NEC VHS dinosaur.... and the quality is not that great... but it will do till some $$ starts comming in..

Don't have 750 for Vi$a... Fuck them.... don't use them till you have enough sales to pay vi$a their stupid fee.

Design a site, make an affiliate site and start marketing....

Simple!....

With that said... http://www.blushentertainment.com/herestoyou.gif

like others have said, its a risky business starting up a paysite if you haven't tried your hand at the free side of it. if you are successful in that, chances are you will be successful with a paysite, and you'll have the start up money already. personally paysites are a lot of hassle and i rather just make money promoting paysites, tho maybe one day i'll get into it, who knows.

If you are going to start a pay site, pay VISA their fee. There is no escape from VISA.

I suppose I will once I have it.... but till I make enough in sales... they will have to wait.... Meantime, I will just use JBC and MC and Dialers...

There are other methods that people can pay for porn... Vi$a is not god....

The sad thing is that none of us stick together... if we all stopped using vi$a and used check, dialers and other CC companies that don't fuck us, then we change the standards and set new precedence. Make these people use OUR system what ever that may be.

Afterall, we have power too... if people want our porn... they have to conform to our rules.

If you just don't want to get into risk, just hit me up on ICQ 104870192, we can make your idea go real for less than you'd spend in equipment :thumbsup

thing about visa is most potential customers have it, and quite often, only have visa. i know thats all i have. someone who wants porn isn't gonna get a mastercard just to sign up to porn sites, unless they are an addict i suppose.
