Pot isnt a gateway drug. My view is this: people who are willing to experiment and try pot are the same people who are willing to experiment and try heroin and coke. Some people are happy limiting their experimenting to marijuana. Why the hell would someone be willing to try hard drugs and not smoke pot? That just wouldnt make any sense.

Marijuana is not physically addicting.
Marijuana has no long term effects on the brain.
Marijuana just smells so damn good.

i've tried heroin (not through a needle) and coke once or twice. but they never really struck me as fun. i'd rather just smoke a bowl. it seems so much more natural and relaxing.

I watched something on the history of drugs last night on the History Channel. In the 1930's the US passed a law to "tax" marijuana. Anyone involved with smoking, transporting, growing, anything, had to buy tax stamps from the federal government. The problem: the government required you to have the pot in hand when applying for the tax stamps, which meant that to apply, you had to break the law. The AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION spoke out AGAINST this law but it was passed anyway. The reason it was passed was because the border states wanted to kick out all the Mexicans and most of the Mexicans grew and smoked pot. The Supreme court overturned this in the 60's. But the great federal government passed another law in the 1970 banning it.

it's sad how an ignorant mindset and negative racial stereotype allowed them to create the fake authority to dictate to me what i can place into MY OWN BODY. the war on drugs was bred from an attitude of intolerance and it continues to perpetuate this today.
