Why do people spend their money

on frequently buying new cars...and sometimes quite expensive cars. Is it a status thing or what?

I bought my last new car in '88...a Ford Taurus. It is still pretty much like new inside and out...only has 70,000 miles...and still runs like new. I do not feel the need to buy a new car...or own an expensive car. I do own a very expensive motor home...which is currently stored...but I bought it because of my back...I cannot sit for long periods (or stand for long periods)...so I can hit the rest stops and lay down for awhile. I could have bought a much less expensive motor home...but I decided for one time in my life to splurge. I usually do not like to spend an extra nickel for anything.

Well in a way I agree with you, I dont spend much on my road cars, but I do spend a lot on my "race" cars. In London UK there are so many speed bumps and cameras that there is no point in having a nice car.

So instead of getting nicked on the road, I hit the track, there is no speed limit there "he he he he he"

Different strokes for different folks..

Why do some guys like fat chicks?

I could have a fancy car (I wouldnt dare though here in Rio), or other crazy shit, but I love to travel -and travel in style. I spend my money on First class travel. A lot of people think this is crazy, but I can't think of anything better then Brittish Airways, Cathay Pacific or Singapore Air's First Class for 10-12 hours then geting my ass kissed in a 5-star hotel. :thumbsup

i love sports cars. nothing to do with status, everything to do with driving pleasure. i've felt that way since i was 14 yrs old.

We are all diffrent and value diffrent things, some like to show there money and some people want to live like they always has done. Maybe because they don't like the attention and it may also depend on where you leave..if you leave in a small town everyone is going to hunt you down for cash..that's what happens if everyone knows you're super rich..friends becomes enemies :)

I love sports cars as well, too bad I can't afford them. The finnish prizes are mad. Even if I could afford them, I think I wouldn't buy one because of the taxation. When I move to a cheaper country, I will buy me a fucking ferrari. :)

I agree with you on this.. other than 'leave' should be 'live' hehe

But yes, we all value different things at different levels.. so whatever pleases you..

Sports cars can be fun, but there is more to life than driving fast :)
