2257 Compliance + Content Provider Sites
Should the 2257 info be readily available on the sites front page or not?
Or can it just be on the site somewhere? |
front page is better!

so whats everyone elses opinion on this front page or just on the site somewhere? |
or at least in a prominent place

would it be okay on a copy of a license?
specifically if you had a link to a sample license on the main navigation menu? |
huh?
|
I'd have it clearly linked on the front page.
Also, here's another interesting thought (new thread?) ... if I buy content, should I have copies of the 2257 papers sent? Or, if I buy content, link my site to the content provider's site, am I OK? And what if, say a year down the road, the provider is gone. Then what? Does my content have to come down? About 6 months ago I spoke to a pretty popular male porn star who has since started his own lines, and I asked if he had ever even heard of anyone getting popped on 2257...answer was no. I'm not advocating violating any laws, but this whole thing is really unsettling at best... |
so basically, from the replies in this thread as a responsible content provider you should clearly display the 2257 compliance details on the front page of your site is what you are telling me?
thanks... time to start a drama thread now :Graucho |
