Ok.. The Mariners Are Done?

They just cant get over the hump.
The whole American League is loosing my love.

For the first time the National League is more intresting to me.

Giants
Cubs
Braves.

Damn I love those teams.

American League the Mariners are my team.

I just dont get it. History is repeating itself.

I said it here once at the begining of the season and Ill say it again. They needed to add one power hitter to the lineup. Just one. It really could of made a difference. Any kind of spark could of helped.

Not lookin good.

Both Chicago teams about to make the playoffs, kind of scary!

Jamie 09-09-2003 01:46 PM

You would think with all the money in Seattle they could get a decent team together.

Wiseman 09-09-2003 01:46 PM

FUCK!!! They arent done yet!!! M's can still squeek in there!!!

Maybe Brett Boone can run thru the clubhouse and share some of that high powered German muscle juice he's been using - that will give the whole team more power!

Yep, they arent out.
Its still a tight race for the division and the wildcard.

Its just Boston looks great and kinda fun to watch and Oakland is tough but cooling down as of late.

I think the M's gotta go after the A's casue the Redsox are gunna beat em for the wildcard.

The M's have a good team..they are just some lazy motherfuckers

boneprone 09-09-2003 01:57 PM

last time they were good it was back in 89 i think it was.
when they faced the Giants in the NLCS and lost.

It was great casue it may happen again this year. Two teams i love going at it. Giants and Cubs.

Cool.

I still remember 89 with Ryan Sandberg, Shawon Dunston (and the shawn-o-meter) Jerome Walton, The manager Popeye (is he still with the yankees?) Mark Grace, Lloyd Mclendon, and a bunch of others I cant remeber off the top of my head.

The Giants I remeber had Robby Thompson, Kevin Mitchel, Will the Thrill Clark, Dave Draveky (the guy who broke his arm with cancer) and Willie McGee.

Good times.

I remeber the Giants went on to play Oakland in the battle of the Bay and the Earth Quake hit.

I remember them bringing in Mitch "wild Thing" Williams with the bases loaded and I believe Will Clark hitting the grand slam lol

Oh yeah! Wild Thing.
How could I forget...

Man o man, that really fucked mitch up after that.

He moved back home in my area here in Oregon and went into depression..

A great pitcher, but dam will be rememebred for that since he never bounced back.

Too bad.
Many pitchers bounce back from that but he didnt.

Dennis Eckersly bounsed back after giving the winning pitch to Kirk Gibson i rememeber to still become one of the best closers ever.. But Mitch never did.

boneprone 09-09-2003 02:04 PM

yeah i was at the Giants NLCS last year.

Id love to go again!

Unless my Mariners are in it, ill have to go north...

LAst year had tickets for the Yankees during NINA's Party NY trip and the game was rained out..

One of the more depressing moments not being able to go to yankee stadium for the first time..

Im a baseball nut..

Yup poor guy, he was still kind of young then, could have pitched relief for a few more years no problem. A lot of closers get lost in the shuffle.
