I'm not trying to play down what any woman who has really been raped might have gone through...but I seriously believe there are alot of women out there who claim they were raped at some point when it was really just a regrettable sexual experience.

In other words they consented, but felt pressure from their dates or boyfriends to consent. And not pressure from fear of physical harm, but more the pressure that they felt they "owed" it to the guy etc.

YOu know the scenario, billy bo jim bob has mary jane rotten crotch in the ol' ford pick up, and he's telling her over and over "come on mary jane, if you loved me you'll let me do it and don't worry I'll pull out and shoot it on your belly."

I love it when women throw that accusation around so readily. My brother's girlfriend for example during an argument told my brother she was going to call the police and claim rape.

I know 2 women that has been raped - and trust me, they weren't kidding. The difference between being raped and talked into having sex is huge. I don't know what kind of women you know but I have never met a woman that called it rape because she regrets having sex with the guy...

The point I'm getting at is I don't think some women know the difference.

And I think the mind set, especially in the last 10-15 years has taught women that, which is that all "non-consensual" sex is rape.

I just think some people take the "non-consensual" part too the Nth degree. They can't differentiate between forced sex, and sex under emotional duress by their high school boy friends.

i'm one of those people that don't think suspects should be named until after the trial because yes some women do falsely accuse and that is of course wrong.

Doesn't change the fact that rape and someones recant of it, regardless of exactly why they are doing it isn't really a laughig matter to me.

If she honestly does think she is raped maybe her coming out with her story will help another woman come forward.

This is one of those "in the best interest of the child" kind of statements.

Kinda like back in the late 80's when accusations of child abuse were being thrown around alot especially during divorce cases.

Yeah it brought forth a bunch of attention regarding child abuse etc, however it also brought forth a bunch of needless investigations into false claims while real claims got passed up.

It also eventually eroded the credibility of agencies like child protection services etc...basically government agencies made up of social workers getting paid to do the jobs of criminal investigators. And instead of working using a criminal investigation method, working using mostly emotions.

there was a guy who lived on my hall in the dorms back in college... that we all witnessed him trying to rape this chick... pretty fucking sick... he was drunk and she was screaming no and trying to get away... then his drunken ass became violent.. and we all stepped in and beat his ass...
