I might get teased for saying this but the new Beetle is a very cool car. I had the pleasure of tooling around in one for a few weeks in London and believe it or not babes loved it. It was fun to drive like a luxury go kart! I don't know if it works as well over here with the babes though.

girls think it's cute. i imagine it wouldn't be that bad of a daily driver, really. and there was a company not that long ago that built an ultra-beetle, 500hp awd from auti TT components (everything is interchangable with audi and vw).

someone was trying to tell me though that they make a "guy version" and a "chick version" of the beetle, the guy version didn't include the flower vase. is this true? i think that's the worst feature of the car :)

9000 songs??? Are there that many good songs worth listening to?

apple claims 10K tracks (about 1000 albums) but i encode at a higher quality, so around 9K for me.

my current 30 gig ipod has a claimed capacity of 7500 tunes. i figure i'll get around 6K tracks. i own over 300 cds, after ripping them all i'm about half way through the drive.

Of course you use it as a portable hard drive as well for your digital portfolio, sites, content and what not.

Only the Audi TT, Audi A3, New Beetle, Jetta and Golf are built on the same chassis.

So theoretically you could slap the driveline of twin clutch 4wd TT or the 3.2 litre driveline from the R32 under the shell of a New Beetle with very few modifications.

I got so owned..i just bought the 30 gig ipod recently...damn. What's weird is that i don't even see the 30gig on the site anymore. Just the 10, 20, and 40 unless i'm just not seeing it. They not selling the 30 gig anymore?

Yes. They only offer small, medium, and large at a given time. The 15 was replaced by the 20, and the 30 was replaced by the 40. (At the same price points.) This has happened a few times, since they stopped having only one model.

You can usually pick up a refurbished previous model or generation on the Apple store in the special deals section though. Right now the hottest deal is a 10 gig for $169
