Bidding War for Google PageRank Tool

Hey guys,

Well I quietly sat on the sidelines and watched the bidding war ensue after a few peeps figured out how to get the CheckSum.

While some went after just the technology, I went farther and added the lad to the team.

Yes, that means our BETA version is online and being enhanced beyond even my wanton dreams. :1orglaugh

So, if you guys want a peek at how we are sorting and displaying Expired Domains...check this link:

http://www.seguru.net/images/google-pagerank.jpg

We can now sort daily expired domains my PageRank and then by backlinks as well! This allows you to cut through the noise and find the gems immediately!

Gotta luv it!

WiredGuy 09-08-2003 09:05 PM

Should you feel the need to send me an email of the checksum CH algorithm, you know my email :)

WG

SEGuru 09-08-2003 09:07 PM

Come on Charles...you like that display don't ya!

WiredGuy 09-08-2003 09:13 PM

:Graucho

SEGuru 09-08-2003 09:20 PM

Without the checksum baby...you are pissing in the wind Charles!

ryph 09-08-2003 09:30 PM

Interesting...

Muffin 09-08-2003 09:31 PM

This new program is bad assed! The response has been amazing....

Donny 09-08-2003 09:36 PM

Many people have read me speak out publicly against your expired domain service. I questioned why anyone would want to pay for something they can get elsewhere free of charge. But this.... this definitely is something worth paying for...

SEGuru is always thinkin'.

Good job. I'll be signin' up.

:)

Muffin 09-08-2003 09:40 PM

Donovan: Glad to hear it. I am still smiling.....Will we see you in Vancouver?

Muff 09-08-2003 09:44 PM

I have no Idea how the checksum works but what if google were to change it tommorow.

Would you be up shits creek?

Can you explain the checksum aswell?

SEGuru 09-08-2003 09:49 PM

Naw, we're good brutha!

This is prolly one of the nicest parts of the project to date.

Now, since we have the checksum and can see PageRank and Backlinks...our next step will be to integrate that data and make it sortable in a similiar display for our Yahoo List of expireds, DMOZ, etc.

That is not too far out at all.

:pimp

Muff 09-08-2003 09:50 PM

Just did some searching about this magic potion.

Are these comments valid http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum80/157.htm

BigFish 09-08-2003 09:52 PM

Is everything advertised, working and "up-to-date" in your site? When is your BETA program actually going to go live? Joined another site and everything (lists, domains) was out of date or wasn't working. thanks.

Dravyk 09-08-2003 10:02 PM

SWEET! Another excellent tool improvement, Daron! :thumbsup

Muffin 09-08-2003 10:10 PM

SEGuru 09-08-2003 10:15 PM

We are contstantly tweaking this site and upgrading features to be the best in this space.

I think our new technology and understanding of SEO research needs gives us an edge and we want to constantly improve our service.
The Inktomi list is not online at the moment, but we expect it back up soon. It became innaccessible to us as the engine definitions will change as the engines change.

We are getting Inktomi back online utilizing the same technology we used to first get Expired domains listed in Google. So this is almost back. We have tons of other research tools and ways to search for names.

Check it out.

SEGuru 09-08-2003 10:59 PM

Ahem...I noticed Charles ran off! Where'd ya go baby!

i don't think they're watching it too closely yet..i did 35mil domains last month on a single ip and nothing happened 8-/

i won't be doing that again though, heh

SEGuru 09-09-2003 12:04 AM

We are being very careful about gathering this information and presenting it in a useful, friendly manner.

The proxies are a big asset in this effort as a fall back if Google decides to look closer.

lagwagon 09-09-2003 12:08 AM

that is really cool when is that going to be released?

SEGuru 09-09-2003 12:13 AM

Its online now in the members area. Its goes online and offline throughout this launch. When its live its 100% functional, but I am anticipating all to be stable and purring a little later in the afternoon.

There's never a good time for upgrades, but always celebration time when cutting edge new tools hit. So be a part of it baby!

Muffin 09-09-2003 12:49 AM

WG, what ails you? Daron and I had a virus a week or two ago. The doctor told us it was a derivation of the West Nile Virus. I feel for you!!!!

That sounds great! I'll definitely be getting in touch with you two and feel free to do the same. You should have my contact info from the transaction. By the way I'm 38.

SEGuru 09-09-2003 01:13 AM

Hey,

We have your details, we should indeed hook up.
You know there are a few other adult guys out here.

I know there is one other SEO here in Boulder: David Wolfe. Then of course SearchBoxxx is now in Boulder after moving from Westminster.

Of course the NOOF guys are still wailing on Domains at Auction and Broadcast shiz.

Who woulda thought...in Colorado!

Muffin 09-09-2003 01:38 AM

A little cross threading here!!!! SEGuru is also offering an all day SE Boot Camp Seminar in Vancouver, October 23, 2003. The seminar will be held the day before the offical start to the Webmaster Summit.

I mention this only because attendance is limited to 50. We have been getting a lot of sign ups. This seems to be right up the alley of thread members here, hence, I do not want you to miss out on this awesome opportunity.

For more information please go to www.webmastersummit.com or www.searchenginematrix.com

Hope to see you there!

wsjb78 09-09-2003 07:40 AM

We are so glad that you liked it.....Thank you for taking the time to check it out!!!!

We are so thrilled.....the response we have had in regard to our suite of tools has been overwhelming. It is always our goal to give our members the best benefits possible. So, when we launch something new, such as our new Page Rank Sorter and we get such a tremendous response.....it makes us feel great that our hard work is paying off!!!!

Thanks Again!

SEGuru 09-09-2003 12:52 PM

Ohhh heck yeah! The crew worked thru the nite and we've been cranking this morning. All of our lists are back online...and with a few added touches here and there.

In fact we plugged in todays expireds into the new PageRank sorter and found me a nice PR5: gamblingisfun.com

I luv this tool!

Buying that domain name for its PR shows you how silly you are.It has a false pr and only shows 2 lousy links with alltheweb.

If this is the level of your expertise then i just:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

SEGuru 09-09-2003 02:27 PM

Actually Swammi...I know what the backlinks are...as my system lets us sort them out.

However, I acquire domains for testing reasons to continue to refine our displays, systems as a whole...and for knowing how Google and other engines are reacting to certain techniques with names like this coupled with SEO.

One never stops testing!

Niki 09-09-2003 02:35 PM

spammer ...

SEGuru 09-09-2003 02:48 PM

Awwww come on.

Extremely useful tool being utilized in a very new way! This is something that really helps webmasters save time in sorting and digging thru lists!

That is indeed a value if you are into the expired domains game.
