If this is true... how fucking depressing.....

with the following degrees, here's
how much you can expect to make
in your lifetime:

High School Diploma: $1,100,000
Bachelor's Degree: $2,100,000
Master's Degree: $2,500,000
Doctorate: $4,400,000

not depressing at all.

Not much money at all... for a life time.

A piece of paper is useless by itself. It's what you do with that paper that differentiates the low income from the high.

Its for that exact reason why college is worth about :2 cents: these days..

Now obviously its good to be educated, but degrees are worth crap.

No, it was a spam email... not even sure if the numbers are correct... but if they were... all that time and money for a Doctorate 4.4 mil does not really seem worth it.

Personally, if I need to know something, I just go to Barnes and Nobel and buy a book on the subject.

was the spam advocating education? like online college or something?

in that case, if those numbers aren't made up and they are an accurate portrayal of what the spam author thought would encourage people to get educated, that is way sad.

Only $400,000 more for a masters degree than a bachelor's degree? Two more years of school. Two more years of tuition. Two more years of waiting to earn money. Not worth it.
