No Jettis Reserves Being Paid

Hi. I know there is a large PRO-Jettis crowd here on GFY. That's cool. This isn't a Jettis-bash session. I have a legit concern regarding how / when they have been releasing their reserves.

For all Jettis clients, have you had any of your CC Reserves released in the past 8 months. We were receiving our reserves without a problem and then bam it all stopped in January/February of 2003. We've called Jettis and have been told that the bank hasn't released any of the reserves in the past 8 months.

Are any of you (other jettis clients) seeing the same thing?

If the bank is not paying Jettis their reserves is this a sign that Jettis is in some trouble? Why else would the bank hold back reserves for 6+ months? Ibill and ccbill have been paying their reserves on time like clockwork. I'm surprised nobody else has bothered to bring this up. Are we the only one not getting our reserves?

Shap 09-08-2003 06:46 PM

Wow. Three hours, not one reply. Is this not something of importance? If ibill missed a reserve payment this would be a 10 page long thread. How come Jettis not paying reserves isn't worth talking about?

If they are 2 months past their stipulated payout period you can initiate a lawsuit to get your money plus damages for not having use of it, unless there is a clause giving them a right to go to 8 months.

Time to start using lawsuits to get what's owed.

Hi you wouldn't happen to know If you file a lawsuit before they bankrupt the company does bankruptcy still protect them?

the indigo 09-08-2003 08:38 PM

This sounds exciting for the future. :feels-hot

When you file a bankruptcy everything stops.

Except the IRS.

shit so basically they can just drag the lawsuit as long as possible and then file BK and ya still screwed up the wazoo right?

But what if they took your funds and used them for other things and didnt pay you what was rightfully yours?

DTK 09-08-2003 08:50 PM

the silence is puzzling for sure as Shap couldn't be the only one experiencing this. It does help explain why a certain very big program dropped them quite some time ago

bummer :( good luck Shap & others

Dax 09-08-2003 09:59 PM

Great I just sent my money like 10 days ago to use them... GREAT to hear this! =(

SleazyDream 09-08-2003 10:02 PM

if i remember right - and dont' quote me, but i think they made a post some time ago that they would use reserves on existing clients to pay the visa fees?

maybe that's why the reserves were held a little longer?

Kjell 09-08-2003 10:21 PM

Hey Shap,

I won?t speak about your specific account in a public forum, but you?re welcome to call me if you?re not happy with our risk departments handling of your issues. In fact, I would appreciate hearing from you. I will say that we are certainly well within the confines of our contract in our handling of your situation. As you know, Jettis does not get to hold the reserve balances of our clients, our bank does. Some banks, including ours, are increasing reserve requirements in response to the latest card association regulations of MasterCard and Visa and increased scrutiny of our industry in general. Jettis simply follows in the footsteps of the bank. The fact is that Jettis is doing better than ever and has very strong banking relationships. We expect to begin releasing reserves very soon as the bank is very close to reaching their desired thresholds. Our conservative approach to processing is the reason that we believe that Jettis is positioned to remain standing when the dust finally settles.

We do appreciate your business. Call me sometime and we can talk about the latest processing issues facing the industry and your account specifically.

That is pretty much what Globill said.. I wish there was a way to really cross check billers so we can feel a bit better about them... =\

Kjell where can I call you?

Kjell 09-09-2003 08:14 AM

Dax,

You can reach me at 1-800-4-JETTIS. Ask for extension 229. Please be patient if you need to leave a message. I'm out of the office today but I always return messages.

Kjell

DTK,

I'm not sure which "very big program" you are referring too, but I can tell you that this issue had nothing to do with it. We did lose a significant client due to banking requirements that we were forced to follow. Neither our client, nor Jettis was happy about the situation, but unfortunately we did not have a choice and we were forced to part ways.
