anyone going mainstream yet?

a month ago or so, my partner and i have decided to put efforts into a few mainstream projects, because of a several reasons.

its like a whole other world over there! lol, different BBS, different ideas and different strategies.

thankfully a lot of which we have learned can be carried onto that side as well.

just wondered how many others are on that side, or are about to cross over?

is it hard to run both adult, and mainstream projects at the same time? i would imagine they take completely different mindframe to run and plan. (from what i have seen so far anyhow)

I've done both adult and "mainstream" since I started. Never been a secret or anything that I did adult stuff, so it never occurred to me not to do both and mix 'em up.

Sassyass 09-08-2003 11:47 AM

I was mainstream before I started to dabble in adult.

Who owns Mixbucks?

Do they pay the recording industry for the tracks?

Great idea, just wondering if as a reseller, I'd be covered and doing business with a legit company.

Kazaa should pay the recoding industry and then come out with Kazaabucks. Charge $30 a month to download whatever. Pay the recording industry $20 a month.

And yes, I have mainstream projects in the works, all kinds of stuff.

I'll still do adult, just tapping into other markets not as saturated.

It's a Soulcash venture that I am working extensively with the music labels to secure the rights to songs..all of the songs are fully licensed and royalties are paid to the artists. Currently we are moving the program mostly towards the hiphop sites and mainstream high traffic sites. We have some major players from the mainstream world involved including the infamous SOHH.com

to answer your question, yes you would be fully covered as a reseller and Soulcash has been doing buisness for a long time..in fact, we even donate partial of the proceeds to the IMPA
