Oh it's back on now. Just been a while of this up and down stuff now. Blah.

BEsides the transition phase to new owners a few weeks ago I have had no issues the last 2+ years there.

Got to say I am happy at Candid. Been there a long while (3 years) and never had a problem.

This weekend I emailed support with a webalizer problem and they fixed it within 10 mins of me asking them to take a look.:thumbsup

Virtually never been down and see no reason to move elsewhere. Better the devil you know IMO.

Well I hope they do well for you. It seems every day there is someone with a prob.

Candid?s been in a hardware/software transition phase the past couple of months? They have finished their upgrades and seems to be tighter then ever! No down time here! Support for me has also increased dramatically!

I was with Candid for 3 years and they did fine until I wanted to get a new server. I will spare you the details, but I am long gone.

I've noticed candid is good as long as you dont bug them with complicated and complex tech support issues. If you do, then it'll take a while to get resolved, if resolved at all (But most webhosts are the same way anyways). Otherwise, uptime and sales team seems pretty decent.

Just an update. We have hired two new level2-3 admins. One started today and one more next week. Since the new ownership has taken charge everything has been improving daily as promissed. Tech support response times have been reduced dramatically. FYI the network was not down today nor has it been for some time anyone that experienced any downtime today please email me and I will look into the cause.

used to have to wait 20mins-45mins for a response on icq, now within 2 minutes I have someone speaking to me, and he is nice to me, not telling me to go away (using nicer words of course).

Anal Hobbit long time no see!

We have actually been down 2 times because of a network issue (not our problem). Our transaction servers are hosted at the Exodus data center in Chicago. Only a small site and cart site is hosted at Candid. Candid's response time has been great lately.

When ENI and Candid Hosting parted ways Penrod stayed with ENI as he has always worked primarily on the content side. Penrod is a great guy and a good friend. Since we're still in the same building we still get to see our friends at ENI almost everyday. Romeo also stayed on with ENI initially, but now has moved on to illnet.com
Romeo still comes to visit Candid pretty regularly though and is always welcome!
