I love pumping iron. Arnold is one of my all time heroes. Now a second story comes out about him saying racist things when he was younger.

I recall both men accusing him of this. Both are champion bodybuilders. What I don't get is WHY NOW? They come up with all this shit.

Arnold went on to make gillions of bucks in movies all these years and nobody either said anything or nobody LISTENED.

I'm gonna put this on the back burner til Arnold speaks on it. It's not an issue that's gonna go away.

I can think of only ONE reason he would have done this and it would fit in with something only Arnold fans would know about. It's the only explanation he can give and it would make everyone go " OHHHH!!! Now I get it! "

What he said about South Africa was not really very racist. He made a statement which has been proven to be correct, nothing more.

Are you going to tell me you have never said (or never heard a friend say) 'These blacks around here...' or 'those hispanics over there...'? Most people (including Mexicans, blacks, Jews, etc) have said such things.

In my opinion, this is merely the owner of the Drudge Report (who is Jewish) attacking Arnold because his father was a dedicated Nazi.

If it is true, it probably did not come up before because Arnold was not ready to get into politics. If a movie star has political beliefs which are ugly or stupid, it really does not matter. Most of the time, actors are not even speaking their own words on any level. A politician's politics do make a difference. So it makes sense to bring it up if he is going to be a politician.

why the hell not? Arnold has done and said many stupid things over the years. The comments in the article pretty much summed up his English speaking abilities at the time.

Before, he was an actor. His viewpoints on race, etc. were totally inconsequential. Now he wants to run a state that has a bigger economy and population than most countries. His political viewpoints matter now, so now is the time to say something if you know about it. Plus, this guy was just backing up the first guy.
