Flash in MGP (or TGP) Galleries?
 

Hey has anyone else experimented with Flash in their gallery page designs? I'm using bricks for extra sales text like:

But I'm wondering if I make the flash part one of the links out how it will do on the CTR. I'm guaranteeing the CTR rate so I have to be careful what I play with lest I get stuck doing too many redos. Anyway I was wondering if anyone else is toying with stretching past common ideas for galleries and if so - by all means share the link along with your thoughts! =]

flash is for homos with no real design skill so they make things spin and brag.

haha that is about the dumbest shit i've ever heard.

well over 90 to 95% of internet users have flash bud, and if the flash is designed correctly it can convert a lot better than your standard html design.

think about it, flash is a LOT smoother and interactive than shitty animated gifs will ever be... and its also equal in file size. .

so, the notion that flash is not good, is wrong.

there is GOOD flash and BAD flash,
flash these days are ugly and chooped together,
or overdone like 2advanced, flash is CRAP.

Yeah that's why I used Flash in my guaranteed paysite designs. It never helps and so I go broke trying to make tours for people that convert. lol =\

I'd get into a whole discussion on this here but it's been beaten to death in other threads. Do Flash well, it loads things in faster (read: streaming) and don't just use it for wank and the results speak for themselves.

You'd think people in a tech related industry wouldn't be afraid of something they don't understand yet. =[

the flash ads here convert VERY poorly with me... I uninstalled flash cause they were pissing me off.

Anyway that's all besides the point... I was hoping to hear from people using it in gallery page designs yet. Anyone?

i dont truly HATE flash, just 95% of flash designers are crap.

I can't argue that point. I've certainly been guilty of wanking with it sometimes too. But since I have to redo shit if it doesn't meet performance goals, I've gotten much better at weeding out wank from usable Flash. Just on MGP/TGP gallery pages I'm trying it new so I'm asking people for opinions to cut down on my trial and error time/data collection. =]

The only problem with flash on galleries are tgps that don't allow active-x controls. I will be using flash EXTENSIVELY on galleries over the next few weeks where I am able, mainly just my own small tgps etc.

it's worth a try, just don't use too much of it

And while your talking flash it might be a good idea to use our ZAP encoding system to re-encode your movies into a flash delivery system that is more secure, smaller file size and a whole slew of benifits.

And remember 10% of money made on encoding for ZAP goes to the IMPA to help fight against Acacia...

B.T.W. Flash has a very bad rep due to all those damn sites out there that are all show and no content, flash in-itself is a great application medium its what the designer/programer does with it...

I tried flash once one a gallery...the gallery converted really nice considering the tiny amount of traffic it got.

But most TGP's didn't even review it because (embed object) is banned html......too many cheaters use that to auto install dialers and shit like that. So the TGP review scripts rejected my page before the reviewer ever got to see it.
