Rare Tape of WTC Attack Surfaces

ap
NEW YORK -- The only videotape known to have captured both planes slamming into the World Trade Center, and only the second image of the first strike, has surfaced days before the second anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

No matter how many times you see images of it, it doesn't get any easier.

amacontent 09-06-2003 11:19 PM

I just saw a show on MSNBC about it. I hope those fuckers are forever burning in hell and sufferrring everlasting pain.

BV 09-06-2003 11:23 PM

that brought back some strange feelings, i watched the towers fall on CNN in a back room at Planet Hollywood in Paris, France.

was weird being stuck over there while that was going on

footsex 09-06-2003 11:29 PM

I just watched a show on the towers today, brings back alot of feelings from that day, i was not far from the towers when they were attacked and i can picture every minute of that day in my mind perfectly, like it happened yesterday. I remember everything i did that day, and the weather that day, i can still feel the sun beating down on me as it was all unfolding very weird feeling.

Matt_WildCash 09-06-2003 11:29 PM

Bet that guy wished he had taken and sold that footage to the press the day it happend. They would of paid $1000's for it.

I fucking hate that registration shit, half the time I try (asdfasdf) or (qwerty) but that doesn't work today :(

beemk 09-06-2003 11:36 PM

disturbing, thanks for posting the pass.

PersianKitty 09-06-2003 11:37 PM

Was just talking to some friends today about it all. I'm taking them to the airport Wednesday night for a 12:10 am flight across the country. The time of the flight makes it 9/11 and on top of that there's a full moon that night.

Needless to say their a bit uneasy about it all.

That was different.....never heard/seen that before

myro 09-07-2003 12:02 AM

Ah the power of audio. Visuals are always striking (no pun intended), but sometimes audio can really hit home.

As far as I know, there's a longer version of that with screams from the legitimate flight crew.

LadyMischief 09-07-2003 11:16 AM

God that brought everything back to me in a way I can't even begin to describe. That was one of the most terrifying days of my life. I watched from the first minute it started pretty much... Pardon me while I go calm down.

Same here. A seriously weird feeling I must say.

Cassie 09-07-2003 12:14 PM

things i remember in my short lifetime:

my grandfather was a hostage in iran back in the 70's
seeing the space shuttle visably exploding during 6th period lunch in hs
watching a hurricane destroy s. fl in 93
and 9-11

9-11 by far gets me the most. maybe because it was only 2 years ago but i think 20 years from now, it will still be the reason i dont sleep at night when the airport routes air traffic over my area.

Not sure I could even if I wanted to.

Why should someone in England take the day off?
Does someone in Seattle take the day off every year to remember the 10's of thousands that died in the Earth Quake that destroyed Lisbon in 1755 ?

No, if something doesn't happen in someones country, the fact of the matter is it just isn't all that important.

Does anyone take the day off to remember the 3-5 million people that died of AIDS in Africa last year?

How about the few million that Died in Iraq?

No, strange, much larger events, 100's and 100's times more people die, and yet no one sits and thinks about them..

Not flamming americans, it is just human nature.. If it isn't in our own backyard, or we don't have something to gain from it, we dont' give a rats ass.

This is a generalisation as of course there are always exceptions to this..

As for burning in Hell, it is too bad that Hell is a fictional place, created only to drive people to follow a certain path in life or else they will 'go to hell' ..
And this is all coming from a middle class white guy living in North America, imaging what someone in the Middle East thinks of it..

Religion is not the main reason obviously that this happened, as the US funding the Talibans enemies for however long probably was the largest motivator for someone top crash a plane into a building, but it sure as hell gave these people the justification they were looking for, and you wish a punishment created by your equally fallable and twisted religion on them?

Fuck, the human race pisses me off

Naughty 09-07-2003 02:10 PM

This JJ Walker did an outstanding job animating that bit, sad, but nicely done.

Thats crap and 911 hurt allot of the world not just the US!

The UK is so close to america, the way of life and the way the countrys are run is so simular and london is just as much of a terrorist target as any US city.

I was talking about her saftey in London on that day.... I would say London was way up there on the list of targets.

but now you come to mention perhaps it should be in rememberance :feels-hot

Where the fuck do you get your twisted histoy from? Obviously not THIS reality..but an alternative one.

Our funding the ENEMIES of the Taliban was probably the reason the planes were hijacked? Good god man..don't you know we ARMED the Taliban..including Bin Ladin in the 80's to early 90's to get the Soviets out of Afghanistan! After that we quietly, but religiously (irony here!) paid the Taliban money to NOT grow the poppies there that produced opium. And they did carry out their part of that deal. Opium supplies PLUMMTED when the Taliban was in control.

It was NOT till AFTER the attack on WTCs that we went after the Taliban!

It pisses me off when someone doesn't know their history and attempts to rewrite it to justify their beliefs!
