I get 600 freakin email a day still!
 

EVEN I've updated by windows update, I STILL receive 600+ emails a day, all attached with shit.
Fuck! Ok, I use Outlook Express but any ways...

You're probably getting bounces of emails sent that have forged 'from' addresses (yours)

I believe the sobig virus, or the original version of it anyway, is supposed to self destruct in about 3 days.

What has updating Windows or using Outlook got to do with receiving 600 e-mails a day :Hollering (Same here BTW)

I even use Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition.
And a Firewall btw. (Not to be the reason)

Try setting up message rules in outlook and blocking the phrases the virus e-mails are using and set it auto-delete. It' what Rowan said though... they are getting bounced from everywhere.

I'm in the same boat queer. I receive hundreds of Sobig-F's every single day. Many of them are addressed to me supposedly "from" every individual and company in the adult video business whose e-mailing list(s) I was on. And many more from all kinds of other spoofed addresses. I sure hope that this stops soon.

Yeah! I simply naivly thought the hosting firms was the ones to update and deny these shitty emails.
Well, at some level at least. :-/

Im using www.pocomail.com to filter all these virii out. A few simple rules is all it takes.

I consider you to be lucky. I get just over 8,000 of these everyday. I use MailWasher Pro to keep my sanity.

Ask your ISP or webhost to install a virus scanner server side, so it will block viruses.

Good, but not the same. When a webhost installs a server side virus scanner, you dont even get the emails with viruses in your inbox. Hence, you will go from 600 emails a day to 10 - 15 or however many you normally get that are not viruses.
