when i went to turkey .. it was like $1 a litre

StuartD 09-05-2003 09:43 PM

Gas prices fluctuate here from morning to night... and i'm in Canada where it's priced per litre (liter for you in the US).

Anyway, so for us, a few cents is an even bigger deal.

But here in Vancouver, the price can go anywhere from 79.9 to 91.9 on any given day.

It sucks, because you see the price, think it might get another few cents cheaper, put off the fill up for an hour, go back out and and it went up 15 cents.

No shit? My father was born in Holyoke and my grandmother in Chicopee. I still have family there.

goBigtime 09-06-2003 02:39 AM

You would think in places like LA, NY, SF and other big cities, that gas prices would be ultra low due to the super high demand in those areas.

And you would think it would cost more to bring it to and store in places with lower demand.

No shit ; )
Born, raised, and still here.

Samoan 09-06-2003 04:01 AM

Since there's a higher demand in the big cities, they're able to charge more.

Simple fact is that people need gas in the big cities. At the very least, I have to fill up the tank at least once a week.

When I was living in small town in the midwest, I sometimes went for two weeks without having to fill up.

DutchTeenCash 09-06-2003 04:55 AM

with over a $1 per liter i guess that 70s US pimpcar is just gonna stay a dream i guess... dont wanna spend $20k on a car and $1k on gas monthly hehe...

i know this guy who has a charger, built in LPG (liq gas) tanks and now does 3 kilometers to 1 litre hehe... thats like 8 miles to the gallon well im back to my very compact eurotrash car again...

plexer 09-06-2003 06:39 AM

Muff 09-06-2003 06:49 AM

Our gas in Toronto would be equivalent to US$2.20 per gallon. And thats the lower end 87 Octane ...

MonsterMike 09-06-2003 07:44 AM

I paid $1.49 in Myrtle Beach, SC last week.

reynold 09-06-2003 08:00 AM
