It seems my sales on SARS masks on ebay are starting to pick up again. How are your sales doing, and how are your supplies?

We just "unionized" another tool store and now I have a shitload of 3M respirators and masks in my garage that I hope to sell this fall with the return of SARS.

Lets hope it makes a comeback!

I don't think "SARS" will come back, but there will be new outbreaks of tropical zoonotic diseases as the planet continues to heat up and humans encroach further into the habitats of strange wild little beasties that belong deep in the jungle.

Maybe you could get a batch of the non-percussive (slow squeeze contricting type) mouse traps that don't make a mouse blood aerosol when they kill and promote those with the masks? Rubber gloves, too! Then you are halfway to an all purpose anti-bioterror/novel-disease or black plague solution!

SARs won't be back.

The only reason it got so far out of hand was because the Chinese govt didn't want to admit it had a problem (typical Chinese attitude toward things like that) until it was way too late. I think they've learned their lesson about that and they will stay on top of it.

The WHO has effective methods to identify and contain SARS. If they didn't, we'd all have SARs now. All they need is early notice that it has resurfaced and they will beat it down very quickly.

Not to say you won't sell a few masks, but it won't be big.
