35mm slides
does anyone still shoot content on these?
|
I still have a couple of porn studio clients that prefer stills shot on 35mm slides for their movie boxcovers, DVD packaging etc. Only because that is they way they have been doing it for over a decade and they are loathe to change. I'm trying to get them to come to the digital age now so I can shoot most content without film, except for some medium format glamour shots for posters and flyers.

Actually, when I can, I prefer to use slides. Why? Several reasons. First off, the quality is unlike anything you will get from digital, and I don't care what anyone says. Secondly, you have instant proof of copyright, pretty much forever, no matter what. Third, they convert better for print for the most part. And I just love the richness and grain of film. :)

We have calculated it. Slides are still cheaper then digital :)
It takes me about 30 Minutes on a comp to sort and through out the bad stuff on a computer, but I will do the same on a 2x1meter light table within 7 Minutes Of course, the production itself is cheaper on digital, but do you have ever calculated the time to sort thing out? And also, the quality on slides and the colours are much better. So, most of the time we are shooting still on slides & digital |
i was just wondering because i scan slides and was looking for a little more work, anyone out there need any slides done

We have about 10 years of stuff on slides still unscanned...
I look at those boxes and I cry.... |
I have tons of slides from when I had a studio in LA.
They are beautiful to look at but I like digital more. |
