Freenetpass, long time promoter, first time complainer

We've been sending the exact same amount of traffic to FNP for over a year, they pay consistently and we've never had any complaints. FNP for the most part has been reliable and a great company to work with.

BUT...... has anyone noticed a drop off in sales lately? Ever since the new changes they've made?

......... one of them being "FNP now has an exit window on the join form that comes up if a surfer leaves. The purpose of this exit is to attempt to get some "micro" transactions run through from those surfers that aren't interested in a pass. These micro transactions (less than $2/month) will increase our sales count and will decrease our chargeback percentage. This is a neccessary step for us to bring our cb's under 1%. This is a test, and might not be a permanent solution."

I'm curious to know if anyone has experienced any drop off in sales with them?

spool 09-04-2003 06:44 PM

Totally been using them with good success for over 2 .5 years now and just lately seen a 90% decrease in sales.

ZoiNk 09-04-2003 07:00 PM

I have had very spuratic sales with them over the years, nothing at all lately though. :|

Seen a decline in sales?

That was a huge red flag.

Are you not concerned about their business practices when they attempt to make smaller sales to dilute the charge back pool? I don't know much about FNP, but something about that says "hey wait a minute!"

RockDaddy 09-04-2003 07:17 PM

I don't know how anyone can make a sale there. They won't allow hardly any text on the front page. They pretty much reject everything I send them unless it's just a couple of pics and their login box.

I asked them for help with a nice sales spiel I could use for them that would be acceptable since they kept rejecting all of mine and never got a response so I just submit their login box and it gets approved. ??

Exactly. That's what I meant by huge red flag

Hi Rockdaddy.

Just thought id post this url for you

http://www.cummsoaked.com/hardcoreth...eenetpass.html

I have never had a problem getting approved with fnp. The above url is my most recent site submitted to them and was just approved. If you already have a site approved then you can login through that one to see the members area by adding a W to the end of ur login.

Check http://www.learningavs.com to see what I teach about getting approved at around 40 avs sites.

I am not a 40 sale a day webmaster for fnp, but Im still making the average amount of sales that I always have with them, but then, I don't rely on selling the passes through my tour pages.

Thanks Fazman,

They've been kicking mine for the word "site" even though I tell them I'm referring to THEIR site. As long as I use the graphics and their box, no problem. I submit(ed) to over 40 myself (just cleaned it up last week to 20 that do well for me) and really don't want to customize the text for each one.

That's why i'm starting this thread, i'm looking for anyone else who has experience with FNP. We own a lot of traffic, we can send it anywhere. 100% SE traffic really converts, just not with FNP anymore it seems.

Hi guys,

The pop-ups were put up as a test, and nothing more. I use the word "were" because they are now removed from the FNP join form. The pop-ups did have an adverse effect on sales, and we have taken them down.

There will be more testing done over the coming months to ensure that our chargebacks are kept under .05%. Please bear with us and offer your feedback at any time. VISA USA is our billing method of choice, and we plan to stay with them rather than move to VISA INTL.

If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to call us - 866-487-3367 or email me - [email protected].

Good to see you respond and even better to see the popup gone! I really hate popups, although I understand they make people money really, but they affect sales on the primary targets.

:2 cents:

A 90% decrease and you're still sending traffic?
Damn, have you ever heard of a sledgehammer hint?

Why, overnight, would you drop a sponsor for doing a small test if you have been with them for 2+ years and with excellent success? The popup didn't work, so we took it down. We have always been, and always will be, a partner with our webmasters.

Surely you mean .5%, right? I think you'll have a hell of a time keeping it below .05%. :)

I just checked my own FNP stats and they are 1:99 (vs 1:13-1:18 normally) and about to break the 1:100 barrier. Wow! and no improvement since you stopped your "test," so what is really the problem? The only reason I haven't dropped you is that you were always more productive than the other AVS's I had tried (oops! you're no longer an AVS, are you, and never have been? ...does that mean you weren't protecting my sites all that time?) If your attorney told you not to call yourself an AVS, you should tell your attorney that's a fucked up idea that might potentially get you into even more trouble than calling yourself an AVS, because I think a lot of webmasters feel a little defrauded if it turns out you're NOT an AVS after all.

I'm looking into other things to do with those sites (like converting them into low-cost membership sites designed to upsell to more profitable sites), but at this rate you can count on me taking off. Fortunately, the sites in question have never represented a large % of my income, so maybe getting me off my duff is a good thing after all.
